Biogas
BROCKHAUS ENVIRONMENT offers solutions for industrial and agricultural biogas plants in all capacity classes. BROCKHAUS ENVIRONMENT’s modular systems dry and treat biogas and thus protect the CHP motors and extend their lives while increasing their performance. With appropriately dimensioned blowers or compressors the prepared gas can also be transported great distances to gas motors. Extensive measurement technology (volume flow, gas composition, temperature, pressure, etc.) including the opportunity for data transmission support the user when operating the plant.
Our Products
Gas Transport
Gas sometimes needs to be transported long distances to the consumer. Should the necessary volume flows and transport pressure be available, BROCKHAUS ENVIRONMENT can use different gas transporters such as radial fans or side-channel compressors.
Gas Drying
Biogas contains water vapor which condenses in the piping system due to the lower temperatures. Certain gas components such as carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulfide cause gas condensation to corrode plant components like pipes, fixtures, generators, etc.
Biogas is dehydrated through cooling in special heat exchangers connected to an appropriately dimensioned cooler. The water condenses when the vapor falls below the the dew point temperature. The condensation is collected in bio gas pipes generally installed in the ground and separated (condensate separator).
Gas Purification
Biogas contain hydrogen sulfide and organic sulphur compounds. When H2S is dissolved in water it is corrosive and increases maintenance costs for gas engines. The activated carbon filters for gas purification are dimensioned based on the gas volume flow and raw gas concentration. A two filter system is usually used, where one filter is the main filter and the second acts as the police filter. The filter roles can be shifted as desired using cross piping and the gas can flow through in different directions. A pressure tight version of the holder (PN6) is standard at Brockhaus as is the use of durable materials.
Activated Carbon Service
High-value, impregnated carbon forms with high adsorption characteristics and very low pressure loss are used for the reliable removal of sulfide compounds from biogas.
BROCKHAUS ENVIRONMENT offers you complete service, from the dimensioning of the activated carbon filters to the life calculations, the execution of gas analyses and changing of the activated carbon filters on site.
